The meeting, which first took place in 1999, was held in Nyon
Zinedine Zidane went to Nyon, Switzerland to take part in the 18th edition of the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum. The meeting has taken place since 1999 and brings together the majority of coaches from Europe’s top clubs. At the meeting, participants exchange ideas and talk about tactical trends and subjects related to competitions ranging from the idea of introducing a fourth substitute in games that go into extra time, to trying to eradicate intentional time wasting, the amount of time referees add onto a game and even the introduction of a video referee to help with decision making.
Along with the Real Madrid were, including others, Carlo Ancelotti (Bayern Munich), Mircea Lucescu (Zenit), José Mourinho (Manchester United), Arsene Wenger (Arsenal), Unai Emery (Paris Saint-Germain), Luis Enrique (Barcelona) and Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus). The forum was chaired by Sir Alex Ferguson, UEFA’s coaching ambassador. The Italian former-referee and UEFA refereeing delegate Pierluigi Collina, was also in attendance.
